- Rewind when in doubt - Rewind your tutorials and pages when you are in doubt or did not understand the concept fully.
- Importance of Practice - Practice makes a man perfect. After you have covered a particular course material or section, make it a point to practice the session using various kinds of parameters and conditions.
- Regular study to reduce study time - Frequent study time reduces total learning time. Studying and reviewing parts of a lesson several times a week is more effective than studying just once or twice a week. For example, three 45-minutes study sessions are more effective than one three-hour session. Study sessions that are too long are generally inefficient and counterproductive
- Effective Study sessions and plans - Plan your study. The most effective way to complete AFCEH is to mix your online video lessons, practical, assignments and study materials (books) in the right proportion. For example, spending too much time on video tutorials in a single study session creates boredom and inattention. Finish your assignments at the earliest so that you have ample time for study.
- Progress and review - What about Port Scanning you studied 2 weeks ago? Is it finished? No, it isn't finished. You should make it a point to review your study progress on a regular basis.
- Slow is fast - The biggest mistake we all make is trying to finish each lesson quickly. This fails to build the foundation and confidence necessary to improve the mode advance skills required. If you go through each lesson several times on many different days, and review your performance often, your overall progress will be much faster and your confidence level will increase. If you don't do this, you will quickly forget what you have learned.

- Discuss it in the forums and discussion boards – Discuss the various problems, issues and doubts related to the study in the AFCEH Groups / forums.
- Finally, Keep your eyes, ears and emails open – Last but not the least; check your emails and yahoo groups /forums postings on a regular basis for information and announcements. Exam dates, exam tips, sample question papers and their answers, bonus questions etc comes through your email / groups postings.
